SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
welcome members of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha who are visiting the |
|
|
Texas State Capitol on April 2, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A global Hindu spiritual and humanitarian |
|
|
organization, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has long been a pillar of |
|
|
service, unity, and cultural enrichment in Texas and has fostered |
|
|
the values of faith, family, and community service across the |
|
|
state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of BAPS are gathering at the State |
|
|
Capitol to celebrate "Strength in Unity: Elevate Texas Together" |
|
|
Day, an event devoted to fostering collaboration, civic |
|
|
engagement, and the spirit of togetherness among all citizens; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This important day highlights the contributions |
|
|
made by the BAPS community in Texas, including its humanitarian |
|
|
efforts, education initiatives, and promotion of interfaith |
|
|
harmony; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The gathering at the Capitol serves as a platform |
|
|
to recognize the strength of diversity and unity, to reflect upon |
|
|
the state's rich cultural heritage, and to foster collective |
|
|
efforts that build a more inclusive society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The leadership and selfless service displayed by |
|
|
BAPS volunteers inspires individuals to engage in acts of |
|
|
kindness, civic events, and charitable endeavors that uplift |
|
|
Texas communities; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, His |
|
|
Holiness Mahant Swami Maharah, and BAPS members throughout the |
|
|
state for their many contributions to Texas communities and |
|
|
extend to them best wishes for a memorable "Strength in Unity: |
|
|
Elevate Texas Together" Day; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an |
|
|
expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
