A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

|
relating to the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation |
|
|
to enter into a design-build contract for the Interstate Highway |
|
|
635 East project. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 223, Transportation Code, |
|
|
is amended by adding Section 223.251 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 223.251. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 635 EAST PROJECT. The |
|
|
department may enter into a design-build contract under Section |
|
|
223.242 for the Interstate Highway 635 East project from U.S. |
|
|
Highway 75 to Interstate Highway 30 if the department does not |
|
|
operate any portion of the project as a toll project. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect August 31, 2015. |
