No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) or any state agency that administers any part of Medicaid from conducting an ex parte renewal of a recipient's Medicaid eligibility.

It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
