IN RE:	SB1233 by Rodríguez (Relating to a writ of mandamus by a court of appeals against an associate judge in certain cases.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Government Code to authorize a court of appeals to issue a writ of mandamus against an associate judge of a district or county court appointed under chapter 201 of the Family Code if that associate judge was appointed by a judge within the court of appeal's district. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
