R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
  memories of Benjamin Jimenez of Houston, who died on August 21,
  2012, at the age of 53; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Jesus and Carmen Jimenez, Mr. Jimenez was
  born in Guanajuato, Mexico, on October 5, 1958; he immigrated to the
  United States in search of greater opportunity to provide for his
  family, and he worked diligently to support them; Benjamin Jimenez
  shared 35 years of marriage with his wife, Araceli Consuelo
  Jimenez, and the couple were blessed with five children, Faviola,
  Carolina, Benjamin, Estefani, and Adrian; the family later grew to
  include two beloved grandchildren, Epy and Jedi; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Jimenez oversaw a variety of construction
  projects, many of which can now be found on university campuses and
  in downtown Houston; a skilled welder, he taught numerous others
  the craft and enjoyed repairing his family's cars; this dynamic
  Texan set an inspiring example of service, altruism, and generosity
  for all those around him; moreover, he was strongly supportive of
  learning, and he encouraged young people to seek a college
  education or to learn a trade; a man of strong faith, he read his
  Bible daily, prayed, and listened to worship music; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his family and his community, Benjamin
  Jimenez lived a rich and purposeful life centered around serving
  others, and he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all
  who held him close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Benjamin Jimenez and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Araceli Consuelo Jimenez; to his children, Faviola, Carolina,
  Benjamin, Estefani, and Adrian; to his grandchildren, Epy and Jedi;
  and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Benjamin
  Jimenez.
