IN RE:	HB2158 by Goldman (Relating to the effect of a finding of liability for fraudulent activity and notification requirements for proposed settlements under the Medicaid program.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to provide the effective date of a Medicaid provider's ineligibility to participate in the Medicaid program after the provider has been found liable of Medicaid fraud. The bill would also require an individual who brings a legal action on behalf of the State to notify the Attorney General within 10 days of reaching a proposed settlement agreement. The Office of the Attorney General has indicated that any cost associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
