SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 50
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Houston Asian Junior Chamber on the occasion of its
  28th Annual Inauguration and Awards Ceremony on January 27, 2013;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, The Houston Asian Junior Chamber is an
  organization of men and women between the ages of 21 and 39 who
  are dedicated to service; its members work to provide young
  people with opportunities to empower themselves and make
  positive changes in their lives and the lives of others; and
 
         WHEREAS, The organization has been active in the Houston
  community for over 28 years; its members have contributed more
  than 2,000 volunteer hours to local, state, and international
  projects; they also donate thousands of dollars each year to the
  community; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Houston Asian Junior Chamber is an exemplary
  organization that promotes business, culture, education,
  leadership, and civic involvement, and its members are to be
  recognized for the positive impact they have had on the City of
  Houston and the state; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Houston Asian
  Junior Chamber on their outstanding work on behalf of their
  community and state and extend best wishes for the future to all
  attending the 28th Annual Inauguration and Awards Ceremony; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas
  Senate.
