SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 118
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay
	tribute to Patsy Jane Reichle Mills on the grand occasion of her
	89th birthday, which is being celebrated July 16, 2011, in George
	West; and
	WHEREAS, A resident of the Villa of Corpus Christi,
	Northwest, Patsy Jane Mills is a warm and gracious lady well
	known for her charm and generosity of spirit; and
	WHEREAS, She was born July 15, 1922, in Elgin, Texas, to
	Dora and Miles "Shorty" Reichle; she was a lovely little one, and
	at the age of eight months, she was deemed the Prettiest Baby in
	Elgin; and
	WHEREAS, She grew up in Three Rivers, Texas, with a sister
	and brother, Virginia and Jack; her father worked at the Three
	Rivers Glass Factory, and when that factory was shut down, the
	family moved to Palestine, where her father worked at the Knox
	Glass Factory until he retired; and
	WHEREAS, Patsy Jane Reichle married Louie Mills, an oil
	field worker, in Three Rivers on February 1, 1941; they had three
	daughters, Deann, Janie, and Peggy, and a son, Miles Ray; they
	moved to Corpus Christi in 1965; Mr. and Mrs. Mills both enjoyed
	going to auctions and were avid antique collectors; they were
	married almost 60 years, until his death in 2000; and
	WHEREAS, She is a devoted mother and a wonderful
	grandmother who never forgets a special day in the lives of her
	family and friends; a beloved and respected lady, she is noted
	for her courage, her compassion for others, and her enthusiasm
	for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED,
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	her as a memento of this special day.
