R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Stafford have greatly benefited from |
|
the dedicated leadership of Ken Mathew since he was elected to the |
|
city council in May 2006; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his tenure in municipal government, Mr. |
|
Mathew has ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his |
|
expertise in a range of community issues has earned him widespread |
|
respect; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mathew previously served on the board of the |
|
Stafford Economic Development Corporation, and he was a member of |
|
the planning and zoning commission; deeply committed to his |
|
community, he works closely with Houston Community College |
|
Southwest as a member of the advisory board, and he teaches Sunday |
|
school at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, where he is a valued member; |
|
Mr. Mathew holds a master's degree in business from the University |
|
of Detroit and is the accounting manager of Flextronic Systems |
|
Texas, Limited; and |
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|
of Ken Mathew have helped to make Stafford an even better place in |
|
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Ken Mathew for his committed public |
|
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Mathew as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
