H.R. No. 2344
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Residents of Stafford have greatly benefited from
  the dedicated leadership of Ken Mathew since he was elected to the
  city council in May 2006; and
         WHEREAS, During his tenure in municipal government, Mr.
  Mathew has ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his
  expertise in a range of community issues has earned him widespread
  respect; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Mathew previously served on the board of the
  Stafford Economic Development Corporation, and he was a member of
  the planning and zoning commission; deeply committed to his
  community, he works closely with Houston Community College
  Southwest as a member of the advisory board, and he teaches Sunday
  school at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, where he is a valued member;
  Mr. Mathew holds a master's degree in business from the University
  of Detroit and is the accounting manager of Flextronic Systems
  Texas, Limited; and
         WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
  life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
  of Ken Mathew have helped to make Stafford an even better place in
  which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Ken Mathew for his committed public
  service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Mathew as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
