No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code by adding a chapter that would specify qualifications for surgical technologists at health facilities licensed by the Department of State Health Services. The agency indicates that adoption of rules would be necessary to implement the provisions of the bill but costs could be absorbed within existing resources.
