H.R. No. 1986

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Gabrielle Phillips was recognized for her
	outstanding academic achievements at the Awards of Excellence
	Dinner hosted by the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Education Foundation on
	March 12, 2009; and
	WHEREAS, This annual event pays tribute to exemplary high
	school seniors in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School
	District and reflects the strong support that the community
	provides to public education; local business and civic leaders
	sponsor each of the honorees, and each student, in turn,
	acknowledges a faculty mentor who has been instrumental in the
	student's endeavors; and
	WHEREAS, A member of the Class of 2009 at L. D. Bell High
	School, Gabrielle Phillips received an Award of Excellence that
	acknowledged her work in theatre arts, and she was presented with a
	medal that will serve as an enduring symbol of her accomplishments;
	and
	WHEREAS, By demonstrating admirable determination and by
	taking full advantage of the caring support provided by her
	school's educators, Gabrielle Phillips has built a strong
	foundation for future success, and she may take justifiable pride
	in a job well done as she looks forward to the challenges and
	opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Gabrielle Phillips on her receipt
	of a 2009 Award of Excellence from the Hurst-Euless-Bedford
	Education Foundation and extend to her sincere best wishes for
	continued achievement; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Ms. Phillips as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
