H.R. No. 1846

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
	by a great and enduring love, Pernell and Audrey Peterson
	celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 18, 2007; and
	WHEREAS, Pernell J. Peterson and the former Audrey Thompson
	were united in matrimony at First Lutheran Church in Waco on that
	special day in 1942; through the years, they have nurtured a
	fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
	addition of their children, Patricia McElfish and her husband,
	John, Carol Blasche and her husband, Donald, and Thomas Eric
	Peterson, as well as six grandchildren, Donna, Michael, Erik,
	Nathan, Jason, and Gavin, and two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and
	Ashley; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Peterson is retired from Waco Printing Company
	and Mrs. Peterson is retired from the Texas State Commission for the
	Blind; the couple are members of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church; and
	WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the course
	of their marriage, this devoted husband and wife have remained
	constant in their commitment to one another, and the strength of
	their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and
	opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Pernell and Audrey Peterson on the
	notable milestone of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to
	them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
	further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peterson as an expression of high regard
	by the Texas House of Representatives.
