R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jessica Alvarado of Girl Scouts of the Rio Grande |
|
|
has attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in Girl |
|
|
Scouting; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor, |
|
|
received by only a small fraction of those who are eligible; to |
|
|
achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet requirements that |
|
|
promote community service, personal growth, positive values, and |
|
|
leadership skills; in addition, she must plan and implement a |
|
|
special Girl Scout Gold Award project that meets a need in her |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Alvarado has proven herself to be an exemplary |
|
|
and productive member of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with |
|
|
great pride on her commitment to excellence and her perseverance in |
|
|
the pursuit of her goals; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jessica Alvarado on her receipt of |
|
|
the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes for the |
|
|
coming years; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Alvarado as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
