| WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss | ||
| with the death of Myles Julian Anderson of El Paso on November 9, | ||
| 2006, at the age of 20; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Myles Anderson was born in El Paso on August 31, | ||
| 1986, to Chris and Kayla Anderson; he attended Cathedral High | ||
| School, where he showed true promise as an actor, accumulating more | ||
| credits as a performer than anyone else in the school's history; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For a government class project, Mr. Anderson | ||
| prepared a tribute in memory of a classmate who died while serving | ||
| his country in Iraq; the resolution became H.R. 161, which was | ||
| adopted during the 79th Texas Legislative Session; Mr. Anderson | ||
| accompanied his mentor, Chief Justice Richard Barajas, to the State | ||
| Capitol, and was present when the measure was read on the house | ||
| floor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson went on to attend St. Edwards | ||
| University in Austin, where he discovered a new passion, | ||
| photography; he returned to El Paso to pursue this interest, and his | ||
| work was exhibited in several local galleries; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Myles Anderson is remembered by all who knew him as a | ||
| warm and outgoing young man who befriended young and old alike; he | ||
| was known for offering to cut the grass of elderly members of his | ||
| church and to take nothing more than a glass of tea and some good | ||
| conversation in return; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, memories of | ||
| this beloved young Texan will forever endure in the hearts of the | ||
| many people who held him dear; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor the life of Myles Julian Anderson and | ||
| extend sincere condolences to his parents and to his other loved | ||
| ones; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Myles | ||
| Julian Anderson. | ||
