It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

The bill may impact district and charter staffing patterns when providing remote learning for those students engaging in habitually violent behavior moved to remote settings; however, students in these settings would count in student attendance for state funding purposes.

Districts would need to make changes to all Discipline Action documents to capture and report to TEA on the new discipline codes.
